The brand markets its pods as a once-a-month drop into the toilet and states the goal as preventing backups, overflows and bad odor. Like the other brands on this page, it works by adding organisms to the tank rather than feeding the ones already there.

Roebic: A Bacterial Line Since 1959

Roebic has sold bacterial septic treatments under the K-37 name since 1959, according to its own website, offered as a liquid applied every six months or a granular concentrate applied every three months, alongside a four-step yearly maintenance program that rotates in other products on a set schedule. Roebic describes K-37 as restoring the natural balance of bacteria in a tank, which it says reduces sludge, scum, odor and clogs. Its site does not name the specific bacteria strains K-37 contains.
