Every livestock lagoon fills from the bottom. Manure solids, wash-down slurry and bedding settle, and when the bacteria that digest them cannot keep pace with the loading, the sludge layer climbs. What we measure, and one honest limit
Before the first dose we agree on what to watch: sludge depth at fixed points, pump performance, odor at the fence line, and the water quality parameters we test. We track those through the seasons so a wet spring or a herd change is not mistaken for a result. One honest limit: we accelerate biology, so we work on organic sludge. Sand, grit and a worn-out pump are a different job, and we will say so on the site visit.

Can you treat a lagoon that has never been pumped?+
Yes. A deep organic layer in a livestock lagoon is exactly what the program is designed for. We measure sludge depth before the first dose so you can see where you started, then keep measuring as the bacteria work through it. You keep running the operation as usual while they do.
Do we have to stop pumping or irrigating during treatment?+
No. A lagoon treatment program is designed to fit the way you already run. We pick a delivery point on the site survey, dose monthly and your pumping and irrigation schedule carries on. A lagoon that pumps more easily is one of the changes we measure for.
Will it help with odor at the fence line?+
In our experience, odor at a livestock lagoon, including hydrogen sulfide (H2S), means the bacteria have run out of oxygen and started pulling it from sulfate instead.
